Castle's Monumental Brass Rubbing
Below: A rubbing of a Celtic circle from the gospel of St. Matthew, in the mediaeval Book of Kells. Five intertwined birds and serpents symbolising good overcoming evil.

Above Right: Ralph Hamsterley, 1518. This macabre image, complete with worms, is termed a "shroud brass", a reminder of our mortality.
Middle: Large facsimile brass, approximately 5 feet tall, of an unknown knight. Probably the size of the original brass that would have been inserted into the floor over the deceased remains.
Please note: This brass is $65.00 to reproduce and mail.
Above Left: Sir Robert de Bures, 1331. A beautifully engraved brass. Sir Robert was an aid to King Edward lst.
