Steps in Brass Rubbing: After the brass and paper are chosen, and the paper attached in place, a faint outline of the edges and protuberances such as swords, hands, etc., is made with the fingers.  The rubbing crayon is gently but firmly applied evenly over the brass. The print is then carefully removed.
